Abstract

Referencing competency is the knowledge, skills, and ability to use, edit, and disseminate different types of referencing standards and referencing software. Referencing competency helps to improve the quality of publication through proper citation and references. However, there is a scarcity of knowledge on the level of impact of referencing competency towards individual performance especially among undergraduate students. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the level of individual performance in the context of referencing competency. A quantitative research instrument was developed, pre-tested, sent for pilot study before been analysed based on descriptive analysis using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26. The result shows that the respondents have a moderate level of task productivity and task satisfaction.
