Abstract

This study aimed to developments of project based learning textbooks to improve emotional intelligence of students in five frade in elementary schools. The design of this research was adopted from Borg & Gall design model. The subject were 50 students divided into experiment and control class with purposive sampling technique. The data collection was done by emotional intelligence questionnaires, eligibility questionnaires, interviews and observations. The effectiveness of textbook shown from students emotional intelligence in experiment class N-gain (63%) with medium category which was higher than control class (34%) with low category. The feasibility of textbooks was assessed by material expert with “very valid”, media expert with “very complete”, and media linguist with “usable” category.
