Abstract

Based on the theory of crystal structure in chemistry, introducing a method to optimize constellation diagram by means of maximizing space utilization ratio(SUR)when the Euclidean distance between signal points is constant. After studying the average system energy(ASE) and SER of the method and N-QAM system at different points, it is found that the ASE of the method is only 80\% to 90\% of that of the latter, and the SER of system based on it is lower when their ASE are the same. These results shows the superiority of the arrangement method in reducing system energy or SER.
