Abstract

The superhydrophobic surface was prepared on aluminium substrate using wet-chemical grafting. The corrosion resistance of the fabricated superhydrophobic surface was compared with bare aluminium surface. The surface morphology of the bare and superhdyrophobic aluminium substrate are examined using scanning electron microscopy method. An attempt is adopted to measure the point of zero charge(pzc) for metallic substrates were determined using contact angle measurement method, since it is economical and easier compared to other methods like X-ray photoelectron Spectrosocopy (XPS). Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), Zeta potential and Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) to determine point of zero charge.
